ABOUT THE HOSTS
Mike Mayo spent more than three decades at the South Florida Sun Sentinel as an award-winning food critic, sports columnist and news commentator, but the thing he likes to do most is eat. Mayo is passionate about food, and he co-founded the Sun Sentinel’s “Let’s Eat, South Florida” Facebook Group, now more than 62,000 members strong, which he still helps run. The Brooklyn-born Mayo is always on the hunt for pizza, pastrami and fast-running horses.
Jeff DeForrest has been a sports-talk fixture on South Florida’s airwaves for nearly four decades, a debonair man about town who loves the ponies at Hialeah Park and Gulfstream, live music in local blues and rock venues, and a good meal anywhere he can find one. Also Brooklyn-born, he spent time in Southern California as a sportswriter before finding his true calling behind the microphone in South Florida, where he has entertained millions through the years with his sly sports takes and quick wit.
Mike “Lubie” Lubitz has been an executive producer and co-host with DeForrest for the past decade, an avid sports fan who lives and dies with Miami’s teams and an eater who likes to chow down on wings, oysters and anything else that can be devoured while watching the biggest games.
